Kaya, I’m Lauren Pilat (pilot).
Welcome to Essence of Being where we work together to help alleviate stress, anxiety, pain and dis-ease from your life via Kinesiology, Neuro-Training, Reiki and Yoga so you can holistically live a fulfilling life in balance and harmony.
I was first introduced to each of these modalities as a client myself while seeking a more balanced, stress-free, pain-free, and purposeful life as opposed to constantly living in a heightened state of fight or flight.
During my 11-year career as a news journalist in Perth and London I found myself over-worked, highly stressed and anxious, coping with chronic back pain, an autoimmune condition, and eventually more desk-bound and depleted than I was able to manage.
My personal management tools included Kinesiology for cellular healing and stress reduction, Neuro-Training for focus and clarity, Reiki for relaxation and higher self connection, and Yoga for physical and emotional support.
My lived experience and passion for each of these holistic practices was so profound it became a natural progression to trade in the newsroom for a wellness clinic and yoga studio.
Whether a journalist or a holistic practitioner, one thing remains the same - my basic interests lie with energy, communication and connection. After all, we are energy (everything is energy), and it's how energy communicates and connects in which we live out our true essence of being.

To empower individuals to trust their own innate intelligence so they can holistically embrace and nurture their essence of being on a mental, physical and emotional level.
To equip people with the tools to help regulate their own nervous systems and emotions, and alleviate dis-stress in their body to prevent dis-ease from becoming disease.
